10 Things Lapsed Fans Think During WrestleMania Season
6. Kane Is Still Around!?
Credit must go to Glenn Jacobs for the continued longevity of the Kane character. Debuting back in October, 1997, Kane was likely supposed to be a short-lived character, solely brought in for a one-off feud against The Undertaker. Instead of disappearing when 'Taker defeated him at WrestleMania XIV, Kane stuck around and is still featured on WWE programming today. Due to this, the character is one of the longest-running guises in the current pro wrestling world. Whilst so many other characters have fallen by the wayside, Jacobs has continued to tweak the Kane gimmick to suit what's happening around him. Something which will stun many jaded fans is that Kane even received a crack at the WWE World Heavyweight Title at the Hell In A Cell pay-per-view in October, 2015. It must be mind-boggling for fans just tuning in to see Kane still on WWE television. Similarly, seeing characters like Goldust must be a real blast from the past, certainly when there are so many departed stars from the 'Attitude' Era and before. Not only that, but Kane is still part of top shows like Raw and is present at pay-per-view events.
