10 Things You Need To Know About Dean Ambrose

5. His Love For ECW Translated To Brutal Matches In Combat Zone Wrestling

As was stated in the open, ECW was one of the major influences in the development of Jonathan Good to Jon Moxley to Dean Ambrose. The action and violence in a different world enabled Moxley to escape the current world he lived in, mainly because it was an environment that he could relate to. It would only be fitting that Ambrose joined Combat Zone Wrestling (CZW) from 2009 to 2011. CZW's tag line was "Ultraviolent Entertainment", and that should be enough proof that they take it to the extreme in this Philadelphia-based company. A great example of what CZW offers can definitely found on YouTube with a match between Moxley and Brain Damage during Tournament of Death VIII. For those who are not familiar, the Tournament of Death is a bracket of brutality to crown a yearly champion where you would find weapons such as light tubes, weed wackers, and fire. Moxley and Brain Damage competed in a matched called the "Dining Death Match"; which comes complete with a table set for dinner to start the match. As you can imagine, not much on that table stays in tact after the bell rings.
