Things have looked bright for Riddle recently.

WWE's resident stoned 'Bro' was United States Champion, appeared in countless skits on the flagship and even escaped Vinnie Mac's wrath for fudging his lines during a promo. That let off suggests the boss likes his scooter-riding babyface, and also hints that Riddle will be fine long-term.

This is a rough patch for him though. He lost his belt to Sheamus at 'Mania, then got totally manhandled in an elongated squash to open the post-Tampa Raw. Right now, the only thing Riddle has to look forward to is a virtually guaranteed rematch with his Irish conquerer at Backlash.

Beyond that, his future is questionable. WWE creative have this nasty habit of going sour on good workers overnight, and that could be Riddle's fate. Or, they could let him bounce back and become Bobby Lashley's interim challenger once Backlash is finished.

Fingers crossed he doesn't disappear from programming like fellow ex-NXT man Keith Lee has.
