10 Things That Could Happen On The Raw Following WWE WrestleMania 39

6. The Hurt Business Reforms

WWE has never done a perfect job with booking stables.

The Nexus peaked on their first night in operation before dying a slow, John Cena-orchestrated death. The Corre, the Nexus' offshoot group after Wade Barrett, Justin Gabriel, and Heath Slater were exiled, was just as horrid. Pretty Mean Sisters existed solely because their acronym - PMS - is hilarious.

They struck gold with the Hurt Business, though. Comprised of Bobby Lashley, Shelton Benjamin, and Cedric Alexander, and backed by MVP, the group got off to a promising, championship-driven start as the United States and Raw Tag Team titles were in their possession within months. Normalisation ruined them; the buzz of a dominating stable wore off and so did WWE's interest. Their breakup itself was uninspired, the story being that Shelton and Cedric's loss to Drew McIntyre, which banned them from ringside at WrestleMania 36, was cataclysmal. They were back together that year, albeit briefly so that Goldberg could batter Benjamin and Alexander. This reconciliation reduced them to Bobby's lackeys.

Another reunion - a proper one - is imminent. WWE isn't so subtly distinguished at crafting storylines as with AEW, but even they wouldn't produce countless teases, social media posts, and having MVP manage Shelton and Cedric without pulling the trigger.
