1. WWE Get Held Hostage In Saudi Arabia

Yikes.

Wrestling fans may feel a chilly sensation run up their spines when thinking of WWE's exploits in Saudi Arabia. The events themselves have always felt unwanted, and it must've been a hassle for workers to travel all that way for glorified house shows in a strange, culturally-alien land.

Following Crown Jewel 2019, WWE's roster boarded a flight and just wanted to get the hell home. To their absolute horror, a group of local militia kept the plane grounded. That left no fewer than 170 members of the WWE party terrified on-board, and nobody really knew what was going on or when they'd be allowed to leave.

Prince Mohammed Bin Salman had reportedly ordered the block. He was p*ssed that Vince McMahon had pulled the show's live feed due to disagreements over 2019's Super ShowDown. Eek! Eventually, things were smoothed over and WWE's flight war was airborne, but this isn't something the company like to talk about openly.
