10 Things That Must Be On The AEW Streaming Service
4. All Previous Pay-Per-Views
Not just a money-spinner, PPV buyrates have been a good barometer of AEW’s success and a strong source of bragging rights over the last three years. It probably isn’t a savvy business move to hand over the company’s biggest shows to everyone with a subscription at no extra cost. Perhaps they can offer a discount to subscribers?
While Tony Khan is unlikely to scrap the PPV model in favour of WWE-style Premium Live Events, it couldn’t hurt to give those who sign up to their network every existing PPV from the company’s first three years. Those shows are largely a credit to the promotion and a showcase of the best of what they have to offer. And it would be a step up for those who already subscribe to FITE’s AEW Plus or similar and have access to the TV.
Plus, if you’re looking to relive an old feud on the network, those stories aren’t complete without the grand PPV payoffs, like Jon Moxley taking the World Title from Chris Jericho at Revolution 2020. Or to take another example from the same event, The Elite Saga is missing a story beat without 'Hangman' Adam Page and Kenny Omega’s epic tag team war against the Young Bucks.
