10 Things That Must Be On The AEW Streaming Service
5. A great search function
The WWE Network has a notoriously bad search engine. Check out the attempt to find The Rock Vs Steve Austin in the image above. It’s something AEW needs to massively improve upon for their own service. It might not be something they lead with in the marketing - “decent search ability” isn’t as exciting as “exclusive content” or “every single episode of Dynamite and Rampage” - but these little functionality details matter.
To draw from personal experience, your writer currently watches AEW via an AEW Plus subscription on the FITE app. Subscribers can technically already access every episode of Dynamite, Rampage, Battle Of The Belts and even Dark and Dark: Elevation, but if you want to take another look at a match you enjoyed a year ago, you can’t search for it. Instead, you have to Google to find out what episode it was on, scroll through page after page of episodes, and then manually find the the right part of that episode as well.
This arduous process has to go. Any streaming service from AEW should let you type in, for example, Jon Moxley Santana and find yourself directed straight to their Dynamite match as the first search result.
