10 Things That Must Happen At NJPW Wrestle Kingdom 11
6. Chalk One Up For The Good Guys
Wrestle Kingdom 11 looks like it may well be heavy on victorious for the bad guys. The good guys have got to pick up a big victory or two, and the three-way tag match for the IWGP Tag Team Championship looks like the most likely spot to see good prevail. A number of stories can be tied up with this match, and NJPW does love a tag title change at Wrestle Kingdom after all.
Guerrillas of Destiny have proved everyone wrong since regaining the titles, putting on great match after great match after their first title run proved to be a total bore. G.B.H (Honma and Makabe) were surprising winners of the 2016 World Tag League, and the final bout between those two teams was barnstormer to say the least.
Tomohiro Ishii has had many problems with G.O.D over the last few months, and whilst his expected World Tag League victory alongside Hirooki Goto didn't materialise, Toru Yano has subsequently returned to partner his CHAOS stablemate at WK11.
Ishii deserves a whole lot more than a multi-team tag match, but he may yet find solace in a brief tag title win. Whatever happens, expect a second title change at some point before the summer.
