2. The Elite Suffer A Fall From Grace
The overarching Elite group that is, rather than the Elite supergroup currently dominating AEW programming.
There would be no alternative wrestling product without Kenny Omega, Cody Rhodes, and the Young Bucks. That's true, of course, but you can only rely on the quartet as top draws before it becomes mundane, seeing the same four stars over and over.
It should be noted that they do seem to be aware of this. Cody, for example, has not only maintained his promise to never contend for the World Title again, but has also helped elevate mid-card acts in Darby Allin, MJF, Anthony Ogogo, and Malakai Black. Kenny Omega, meanwhile, hasn't been much of an egoist as World Champion, as he's wrestled mini-bangers against guys who you wouldn't traditionally consider World Champion material; Joey Janela, Alan Angels, and Matt Sydal, to name but a few.
A fall from their current perch would be beneficial to the progression of the company going forward. Presumably, Omega's going to take a bit of a step back from the main event scene post-Full Gear, again, presuming he drops the strap to Adam Page. He's already done his bit of raising the stock of both Page and Jungle Boy considerably.
In their aftermath, it's those two who'll excel the greatest.
