4. Rebuilding Braun Strowman

It looked like Braun Strowman was being built-up as WWE’s next big dominant force at the start of the year, but his push has gone off the rails. Braun had a great showing in the Royal Rumble, but he took a clean loss to Roman Reigns at Fastlane, and hasn’t been the same since. Now, Strowman shows signs of cowardice by regularly backing down from fights on Raw, and he was embarrassed at WrestleMania, lasting just a couple of minutes in the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal.

There’s still great potential in Strowman, who has been one of WWE’s most improved superstars over the past 12 months. The company have been lacking a credible monster character for quite some time, and with the right rehabilitation process, Braun can once again become that figure.

It’s vitally important that he looks strong over the next few months, otherwise he’ll go the way of Vladimir Kozlov and Umaga. Strowman must be presented as an unbeatable beast, knocking down wrestler after wrestler so that whoever eventually defeats him looks like a million dollars, and benefits from a huge rub.
