Again, a lot of fans apparently thought CM Punk was going to cut through his AEW run, chastise Tony Khan and then wave at FTR (or something) during his comeback promo on Raw. That's not the kind of "pipebomb" being pitched here. No, Punk shouldn't talk about his All Elite days.

He should, however, start getting more provocative again on the mic.

That's when CM is at his best. He's excellent at being a smart-arse who delights in calling things as he sees them with enough rebellious spirit to bring a tear to Steve Austin's eyes. At some stage, WWE will have to reach into Punk's bag of tricks and see if he has any cutting magic left on the stick.

Perhaps he can bite back at WWE of old, or maybe he'd be best-served keeping his best digs for Seth Rollins between January-April. Things are all nicey-nicey now, but that won't be the case forever. This is CM Punk we're talking about!
