10 Things That Nearly Happened At WWE Survivor Series

5. Roman Reigns Beating Seth Rollins To Become WWE Champion In 2015

The match was all set for Survivor Series 2015 with Roman Reigns in position to challenge Seth Rollins for the WWE Title. Reigns was the No.1 contender for the belt at WrestleMania 31, but he failed to get the job done thanks to Rollins, so WWE spent the next seven months building him up for a one on one title match against The Architect. Then Rollins got injured. He tore his ACL/MCL/meniscus in his right knee, which required major surgery and will force him to miss 6-9 months of action. It was a devastating injury and has changed the course of WWE significantly since Rollins was arguably the best overall performer in the company. According to recent reports, Reigns was scheduled to beat Rollins for the WWE Title at Survivor Series. WWE wanted to give Reigns a significant title run going into WrestleMania next year, while Rollins likely would have turned face in order to face his Authority boss Triple H. Reigns might still become WWE Champion this Sunday and is the favourite going into the WWE Title tournament, but it won't be the same as it would be if he beat his former Shield buddy Rollins.
