10 Things That Only Happen in Pro Wrestling

4. You Only Speak To Your Colleagues Once A Week

The workplace is somewhere that people make a lot of friends. Even after we leave a particular job, we often keep in contact with a few special friends that we’ve made there. Many people even find their husband or wife at work; in fact, it’s the single most common place to meet your partner for life. Social media now means that we can keep in touch with our friends 24/7, arranging social get-togethers with work friends without having to be in the same place as them. However, wrestling once again plays by a different set of rules.

Despite being very active on Twitter, it appears that many wrestlers only have any form of contact with their work colleagues once a week, during Monday Night Raw tapings. This is actually a very inopportune time, because this is when wrestlers are preparing to engage in combat. Nevertheless, it would seem that nobody speaks to each other outside of this window. A wrestler will often wait an entire week to respond to a comment or challenge that has been made on the previous week’s show. What’s wrong with just sending a text, or a private message on Facebook, eh? What do you mean, it’s nowhere near as entertaining?
