2. A Missed Opportunity With Kofi Kingston's Spot
Here's my idea from an article I did pre Rumble:
"So Big E and Xavier Woods find themselves on the outside of the ring, maybe they've just been eliminated from the match. Kofi is still in the ring, but suffers a knockout punch by Big Show. He flops back into the arms of Brock Lesnar, who performs a death defying German Suplex to a rather 'floppy' Kofi over the top rope. E and Xavier Woods catch their buddy, and carry their knocked out partner to the back for attention. This could lead to numerous cut scenes showing The New Day at their farcical best, avoiding numerous obstacles like a classic banana peel (amongst other things) along the way. After a certain period of time, the trio would head back down the ramp and put Kofi back in the match."
How much better is that? I suppose WWE couldn't have another Superstar head to the back. That would have taken something away from Roman Reigns, would it not? Anything would have been better than Kofi getting knocked off the apron onto Big E, and then sitting on the big man's shoulders for a while eating fans' popcorn and the like. The endless hours of creative meetings that must have gone into that...
