10 Things That Will Happen When Vince McMahon Returns To WWE

7. NXT 3.0?

Want another depressing thought? How about this.

McMahon's fingerprints were all over NXT's unwanted switch from gritty indy with superior production values feel to Raw/SmackDown-lite in 2021. The revamped NXT 2.0 repelled those who previously adored the third brand like it was actively trying to get rid of them.

Triple H has gone back to basics with NXT since Vince's retirement by ditching the 2.0 nonsense, re-introducing older aesthetics and pretty much letting Shawn Michaels get on with the task of developing new stars. Sadly, there's no reason to expect anything other than yet another overhaul for this sector of WWE business if McMahon has full autonomy.

He clearly thought the old NXT was sucking wind and needed a fresh coat of (very, very garish) paint. What will he think of the current product? Probably the exact same. There will already be those in the wrestling fraternity fearing some sort of NXT 3.0 rebrand in 2023, and with bloody good reason.
