10 Things TNA Wants You To Forget About Abyss

2. The Dr. Stevie Debacle

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZaVAGOcrpDA Did you know that ECW midcarder and Sunday Night Heat curtain-jerker Stevie Richards was a medical doctor? It's true! Stevie apparently pursued this degree in his spare time during his active wrestling career, which could perhaps explain why he was so bad at it. At first, saw the good doctor in his office, where he'd gently point out that participation in things like the "Doomsday Chamber of Blood" was not conducive to developing non non-violent coping mechanisms, but Abyss just wasn't getting it. Therefore, Stevie tried to cure Abyss' violent psychopathy using hardcore wrestling, which is, at best, of suspect clinical value. It eventually turned out that the clinic was simply a cover for a Stevie/Raven/Daffney stable, which was revealed as part of a Mick Foley heel turn, which was itself a master plan by Mick to teach Abyss something something THE MONSTER INSIDE. Abyss is the Ric Flair of obnoxious storyline twists.
