Jeff Hardy wasn’t actually that bad of a heel. He was pretty fired up on the microphone, and did everything in his power to get fans to hate him. The problem is, he was much, much more valuable to the company as a babyface. TNA lacked top stars who could sell merchandise, and rally fans behind the brand. Jeff was one of the few wrestlers who could do that.

It all started at the disastrous “10.10.10” Bound for Glory (October 10th, 2010). Abyss had been warning us for weeks that “They” would be coming to take over the company. It was intriguing, but ended up as a giant let down, as "They" were basically Hardy, Hulk Hogan and Eric Bischoff joining forces. Fans were not clamoring for another wrestling show revolving around two of the men who killed WCW in 2010.

If felt like a swerve for the sake of a swerve, and fans weren't thrilled about it. It was a six month run that failed to move the ratings, frustrated Jeff's supporters, and ended in complete disaster...
