10 Things TNA Wants You To Forget About Matt And Jeff Hardy

5. Jeff Breaks A Leg

TNA had big plans for putting The Hardy Boyz back together as a tag team in 2015. After all, they were one of the most popular teams of the Attitude Era, and they could still go in the ring. They had some new opponents to battle in TNA, and could perhaps bring in some lapsed fans to see the duo back together once again. It didn’t last long at all.

Jeff is known for his wild lifestyle outside of the ring, and he’s a big fan of dirt bikes in particular. Besides chasing down drones on them, he likes to go off ridiculously large jumps near his home. On one fateful afternoon, Jeff went off a jump breaking his leg in the process, and putting his entire wrestling career in jeopardy.

The brothers were forced to drop the belts, and the reunion was cut short. It was an incredibly reckless things for Jeff to do outside of work, and it put the company in a really bad position. TNA has done a good job of damaging themselves over the years, they didn't need Jeff's help with that.

As Rust Cohle from True Detective said "Life's barely long enough to get good at one thing. So be careful what you're good at." Sadly, I can't solve a murder like Rust...or change a tire, or even tie a tie. But I do know all the lyrics to Hulk Hogan's "Real American" theme song and can easily name every Natural Born Thriller from the dying days of WCW. I was once ranked 21st in the United States in Tetris...on the Playstation 3 version...for about a week. Follow along @AndrewSoucek and check out my podcast at wrestlingwithfriends.com
