10 Things To Take Away From WWE NXT Takeover: Rival

4. The Boss Dethrones Charlotte In An Amazing Fatal 4 Way

These four talented NXT Divas had to try to follow the amazing match before them, and guess what? In some people's minds they actually outshined the Finn Balor v. Adrian Neville match. The four women involved in the match where the champion Charlotte, Bayley, Sasha Banks, and Becky Lynch. These four have been aligned and entangled with one another for quite some time, so there was a lot of emotion and tension built up to this Fatal 4 Way match. The emotional build-up to the match was great, but also it was very hard to predict who would come out on top; which is best for business. You could legitimately see any of the four women come out on top. The bad girls of Banks and Lynch ganged up on Charlotte right away and threw her into the side of the apron so hard that it knocked out the LED lights that accent the side. That enabled the heels to then work on Bayley until the obvious turn between Lynch and Banks when one tries to go for the pin. Charlotte would eventually get back into the match and the four ladies were going at it full throttle. Banks had set up Charlotte in the corner for her patented double knee drop, but Lynch got in the middle of it and for her troubles she got set up in the corner as well and Banks hit a the knee drop on both at the same time! That was a great spot. Eventually the action turned back to the outside of the ring where Banks hit an awesome suicide dive onto Bayley and Lynch, and then Charlotte followed with her own dive onto all three women! Another great spot in the match. The women would eventually get back in the ring and Bayley hit an amazing Bayley To Belly finisher on Charlotte from the top rope; which would have led you to believe that the title was Bayley's; however, Banks saved the match at the last second by pulling Bayley off of Charlotte. Banks would lock in her Bank Statement submission hold for a good amount of time, but Charlotte wouldn't tap. Lynch and Bayley tried to get back in the ring, but Banks held them off and rolled into a pin over Charlotte. In the end, Banks and Charlotte embraced with a great show of sportsmanship and a break from kayfabe. The match was an amazing display, and unlike the main roster, the way these Divas are made up and the way they get time to perform, it makes you care about them. Something the bookers and writers on the big shows need to take notice to make that division worth something again.
