As an extension of the previous point, the stunning work Triple H has done with the NXT brand is indicative of his leadership skills, not to mention an example of what could be achieved if he is running WWE full-time in the future.

Given carte blanche control over WWE's developmental system, 'The Game' remodelled NXT from the ground up as a cult-like entity crammed full of the world's best independent wrestlers and a whole host of other WWE pet projects.

Aligned with the WWE Performance Center's work, NXT has been a bright beacon on the company landscape for a few years now, and much of that has to do with how hard Triple H has worked to drive things forward.

Would characters like Kevin Owens, Shinsuke Nakamura, Finn Balor, Charlotte Flair or Sasha Banks be experiencing the success they are on WWE's main roster without first bedding into WWE's way of doing things via NXT? It's doubtful, because time spent there enabled already top talents to flourish in a small pond rather than be thrown head first into the often inconsistent world of Raw and SmackDown.
