10 Things We Learned From A Genuine 1998 WCW Nitro Script
2. The Warrior Mirror Spot Isn't In The Format
This is one of the most frightening observations.
Even those who didn't watch WCW at the time probably know about the ludicrous 'Warrior in the mirror' angle from October 1998. To recap briefly, Warrior showed up in Hogan's dressing room mirror, but Eric Bischoff couldn't see him (even though fans at home could; were they going mad too?).
There's no mention of this at all in the script, which is astonishing. The document details numerous segments in which Kevin Nash and Konnan are either travelling to or arriving at some random bar, but it doesn't talk about an angle designed to sell one of the main matches on the very next pay-per-view.
After the Disciple vs. Lenny Lane match which preceded that mirror angle, the script moves on to a segment involving Ric Flair, his son Reid, Arn Anderson and others. The only allusion to Hogan's jump scare is when the doc says, "...then camera will follow Hogan and Disciple backstage".
That's it.
