Then, Black said that plans were being put in place to shove his 'Tales Of The Dark Father' book onto WWE's online store for purchase. This is something the promotion actually wanted to do fairly quickly, but it got postponed for some reason then just never happened.

He seemed disappointed by that.

The book would've been a cool coffee table filler; Black's influence in the project could've turned it into something special, and made the title one of the more unique items available via WWE Shop. It wasn't to be. Any word on a physical book coming out went cold shortly before they shot the vignettes.

That could be considered a mild warning sign for Black, but nobody predicted that he'd be released a month or so after debuting a brand new character. Did WWE secretly know they were going to cut Aleister free? Maybe that's why they stopped short of producing some interesting merch.
