Gamers might've spotted something vaguely familiar about Black's new look when he appeared in those vignettes. His hair, beard, dress sense and even glasses looked a hell of a lot like Far Cry 5 main antagonist Joseph Seed. That, according to Aleister, wasn't deliberate.

At least not at first.

Xavier Woods was the one who remarked that Black resembled Seed whenever he wore his specs. Yes, those were genuinely Al's real glasses, and Woods got a kick out of some accidentally-awesome video game cosplay whenever they were backstage. That's when Black realised that he was onto something.

After that, he began adding in some more sneaky tributes to Seed and playing up to the comparison. Far Cry fans will recognise his cold, calculated preaching from Joseph's speeches in the game. Black only started wearing his glasses for the promos at all because of Xavier's comments about his resemblance to a certain religious extremist and cult leader.
