8. She Smartened Up After Apologising For Success

In one of the weekly wrestling facts articles a good while back, this writer told how Becky Lynch was apologetic for her success in 2016. When faced with others backstage, she'd point to her SmackDown Women's Title and remind them that they'd get the chance to hold it.

Not anymore.

Becky told Edge and Christian that she's since smartened up to the way business works. Things changed when, after dropping the title to Alexa Bliss just three months after winning it, Lynch noticed how others in that spot refused to apologise the same way she had. Right there and then, she realised she had to start looking out for herself.

The 'everyone can win' attitude wasn't going to cut it anymore. Lynch claims it went against her natural instincts to be ruthless and selfish, but it was the only way to make sure she got what her hard work deserved in the end. That's a fair point.
