By 2006, Becky thought she had a good grasp on what fans wanted to see. She'd been to Japan, but was way more focused "on the spots" rather than putting a good, tangible story together. That'd cost her, and lead to a six/seven year layoff from pro wrestling.

Becky told Austin that she planned a bout that was too complex for the worker she was wrestling. It bombed and the crowd took the p*ss out of what they were seeing by chanting, "Women's Wrestling" over and over. This humiliation meant Lynch took her eye off the ball during a suplex spot and ended up getting hurt.

Afterwards, she was totally disillusioned and decided that wrestling wasn't for her. She admitted on the Network/Peacock that the chant rocked her big time - it made her question if she was even cut out for wrestling at all. Depressed, she disappeared from the biz for years.

Better days were ahead.
