8. How Paige Freaked Her Out

Becky returned to the scene in 2013 and signed a developmental deal with WWE. She was happy to bump into some old friends backstage, but then Paige said something that horrified her. "I told everyone how great you are". Uh oh, Lynch thought. This was not good.

She freaked out, because she hadn't wrestled much for seven long years and knew that too much pressure would be a noose round her neck from the off. Keeping cool, Becky thanked Paige for her kind words before trying to figure out a way to downplay her skillset so people wouldn't think she was arrogant (or worse, sh*t).

Lynch made a great point here about how preconceived notions from others can actually be detrimental in WWE's system. If folks thought she was coming in with an attitude or ego, true or not, then they'd act a certain way around her. She didn't want that.

It took a while for the "Becky is great" sentiments to die down.
