Back in 1984, 12-year old Big Show saved up his pennies to buy a ticket to the next NWA show near his home in South Carolina. To get the cash for it, he cut grass for pocket money, and he couldn't wait to see some of his favourites up close and in person. That's when disaster struck.

The NWA doubled the ticket price overnight.

They'd just announced The Four Horsemen for the show, and that meant higher entry fees. They were the heel stars of the territory, and bookers knew people would pay over the odds to watch them get their asses kicked; mini-Show, much to his dismay, couldn't afford the new price, and there wasn't enough time to mow more lawns.

He stood on a bike (which is a hilarious visual considering his trademark size now) outside the arena so he could see some of his idols stroll into the arena. Show was particularly keen to see Arn Anderson, someone he told Austin was the very definition of a tough guy.
