The word 'nepotism' outwardly suggests that Stephanie McMahon was plucked from her Communications degree in Boston and shoved ahead of hard-workers in the WWE offices just because she was Vince's baby girl. Prichard says otherwise, and compared Steph's similar work ethic to that of her father.

This led to a story about her in-ring training before debuting as a wrestler on the 20 September 1999 episode of Raw.

Stephanie trained with Bruce's brother Tom (who was also responsible for whipping Mark Henry, Kurt Angle and more into shape) long and hard. She was so determined, in fact, that the training sessions regularly went on into the wee hours, and that shows her dedication. McMahon was determined not to look foolish when she stepped between the ropes.

That tag-team match, with Test against Jeff Jarrett and Debra, ended up going just shy of two minutes. Still, it's admirable that Stephanie put a shift in beforehand. Nobody would ever accuse her of being Charlotte Flair, but that's not through lack of effort.
