4. Bruce & Gerald Brisco Saw The Triple H Relationship Coming

One of those hints came when Prichard and Stephanie were chatting at an XFL game.

Bruce was criticising Triple H for something and McMahon was a little too quick to rush to his defence. Right there and then, Prichard could tell that something was up, and it confirmed suspicions he'd had during chats with Gerald Brisco backstage. To both, the phrase 'worked themselves into a shoot' came to mind.

During pre-tape segments or live promos that called for Stephanie and Triple H to kiss, Bruce noticed how natural they were with one another. There was a chemistry there no-one could deny, and it logically helped develop feelings between them in the long run. By the spring of '01, both were spending a ton of time together.

When asked by co-host Conrad Thompson who else behind the scenes knew, Bruce claimed he wasn't too sure. All he could say for definite is that Stephanie leaping to her on-screen hubby's defence that day had the wheels turning in his own mind.
