Mae Young wasn't the only one who admonished Bubba though.

Older fans may recall that Ray went through a phase of looking dazed after blasting some sucker through the wood. He did this for two reasons. One, it meant the actual table-breaking was the focus. Two, it sold the idea that he was euphoric about performing that spot.

One time, Bubba even rolled his eyes back into his head like he was getting off. The next day, Bruce Prichard walked up to him behind the curtain, handed him a phone and said, "Someone wants to talk to you". When Ray answered, it was The Undertaker, and the 'Deadman' wasn't best-pleased that someone else was working his routine.

Oops.

Bubba apologised to his WWF senior and vowed never to roll those eyes again. Instead, he'd stare straight ahead and let company cameras take in the moment. 'Taker had been concerned that some tag-teamer was encroaching on his gimmick's turf.
