It may not happen anywhere near as much in the modern age, but during the Attitude Era in particular it seemed that not a big match went by without a referee taking a big bump from a top star. The subject comes up during the podcast, with Jericho quizzing Robinson on where he learnt to bump. Robinson picked up a knack for it on the indy scene, but he says it isn't something that is too pleasant.

When asked about particular moves that hurt more than most, it is the powerbombs that Robinson comes back to. He has taken the Last Ride from the Undertaker along with Kevin Nash's Jack-knife Powerbomb, and as one can assume being dropped on to your back from seven feet in the air isn't too fun.

Robinson also sounds genuinely uncomfortable when mentioning taking the Razor's Edge from Scott Hall. Whilst he doesn't accuse anyone of reckless work (much the opposite, he talks up the professionalism of all the guys), taking such bumps does not sound fun in the slightest.

Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
