10 Things We Learned From Christian Cage On Renée Paquette's Podcast

6. But Was At Revolution

Christian Cage Renee Paquette Oral Sessions
AEW

Things were different at AEW's Revolution last Sunday.

Christian could only describe his nerves there as the product of a "new environment". It didn't help that he'd also arrived at around 7pm (the pay-per-view went live on air at 8), and didn't get to hang out beforehand with old friends or meet members of the roster he'd never worked with before.

All of those factors combined to make Cage really nervy as he camped out in his trailer waiting for someone to give him the nod for his segment. Finally, when they did come, he took a deep breath and tried to ease up a little. Weirdly, he couldn't. This was the most nervous he'd been for a long time.

It's interesting that the Rumble didn't phase Christian, but that AEW's pay-per-view did. WWE's gig was higher profile, and yet there he was...fretting about walking out onto stage to sign a contract. No actual wrestling, just signing papers.
