All Elite Wrestling and Tony Khan recently faced significant backlash from audiences in the United Kingdom after details of the company's television deal fell some level short of the expectations Cody himself had set with grandstanding statements about their coverage in comparison to WWE's.

Addressing the issue with a little more levity this time, he said: "Maybe I'll do a little bit of a scouting trip when I go over there. I haven't been in quite some time and I'm looking forward to it. I think as we put a lot of effort into that partnership with Fite and ITV - and that partnership is still in its gestation, t's not all that was announced, it's slowly all coming to the surface thankfully - I think it's important that there's homegrown stars from over there.

Kip Sabian is the whole ball of wax, he's an absolute star. Also, at a certain point in 2020, AEW is gonna come to the UK, and when we do I would really like the show to feature a host of homegrown UK talent".
