10 Things We Learned From Damien Sandow On Chris Jericho's Podcast
1. He's Planning On Doing Shakespeare!
One of the forthcoming opportunities Sandow reveals is the possibility of him performing the bard with Kentucky Shakespeare, a non profit theatre company and the oldest professional independent Shakespeare company in the United States. Jericho says that he thinks Sandow would be perfect and, at this point, nothing would surprise him. Y2J thinks that WWE is like showbusiness boot camp and that he'd make a perfect Macbeth!
So there we have it, Sandow and Y2J went over some familiar ground as well as many interesting surprises. The wrestling community was united in their frustration at the lack of a proper main event run for the talented superstar. PWInsider described his release as "mind-boggling" and "shocking" due to his size, mic abilities and the fact that whatever he was given, no matter how bad, he always made it work. The Wrestlemania 32 crowd even booed beloved basketball legend Shaquille O'Neal when he eliminated Sandow in the Andre The Giant Battle Royal in one of his final on screen appearances with the company.
Whatever happens in the future of this extremely gifted individial we can't wait to see him when he arrives at WCPW on UK shores in July.
