4. Bryan & WWE Operate A Unique Concussion Protocol

One of the concessions Bryan had to make upon being medically cleared was that he'd tow the line on a different concussion protocol to every other WWE performer. It was actually Daniel's idea. Looking for anything he could use to convince Vince McMahon his return was a good idea, Bryan offered to get checked following every match.

McMahon liked that, and he also agreed with Bryan's decision to insert a financial penalty clause if the wrestler broke terms.

This means that Daniel had to take a special visit to the trainer's room after his tag-team match at WrestleMania 34, and the same after his lengthy spell in the Greatest Royal Rumble and following matches against AJ Styles and Big Cass. If he didn't, he'd suffer a fine.

Bryan says this is something he and WWE are "revising as they go". It's very much a learning process for both sides.
