The Road Warriors were born, and it didn't take them long to become one of the coolest tag-teams in the entire industry. Things really started moving when the duo moved away from their Village People-esque biker look towards face paints and spikes. The team looked like something out of Mad Max.

Jobbers were quaking in their boots at the prospect of facing them, and rightly so. According to Animal though, Hawk would actually apologise ahead of time to enhancement workers tasked with taking a beating - he followed that up by telling 'Johnny Boots n' Tights' and 'Matt Classic' that they'd still get their asses kicked.

Lovely.

Remarkably, The Warriors had a strict 'no ball shots' policy, but hit hard everywhere else. They'd be mindful of nuts and maybe teeth, though Animal says some of the clotheslines they hit guys with were seriously stiff. That's not a surprise when Hawk had spent a few years punching himself in the face to prepare for wrestling.
