Yours truly didn't actually know how close Matt and Nick Jackson were to Chris Kanyon before watching 'Dark Side Of The Ring'. The Young Bucks viewed Kanyon as an innovator - they'd been big fans of his work in WCW, and they grew close when training with Chris during their formative years in the biz.

Then, Matt saved his life.

Kanyon, riddled with depression and self-doubt, called Matt and told them he planned to kill himself. He ended up talking Chris out of it and they prayed together over the phone. Again, it's so unbelievably sad to think that Kanyon was tortured by the thought that no one would accept him as he was.

Worse, The Jacksons, James Mitchell, DDP and several others already had. They didn't care that he was gay (why would they?). He was their friend, their brother, and they only wanted him to be happy. Tragically, Kanyon never really was.
