10 Things We Learned From DDP On Stone Cold’s Broken Skull Podcast

3. The Match Analysis Is Worth It

Hands up who thought they’d be sitting watching Steve Austin run analysis on Goldberg vs. DDP at WCW Halloween Havoc 1998 in 2021? That’s what makes these ‘Broken Skull’ episodes well worth your time. Hearing the legend's thoughts on one of WCW's biggest bouts is seriously cool.

Also, he and Page were right into their play-by-play.

Steve said he really liked what DDP and Goldberg did in that pay-per-view main event - he even went so far as to compliment Bill on his intense reactions to the insane crowd noise right before locking up. Meanwhile, Dallas was more preoccupied with telling the world that Goldberg's opening kicks hurt like f*ck.

Little stories, like DDP telling Goldberg to miss his first spear and Bill being mad at that, also add so much to hardcore fan enjoyment of that classic. It's clear that Page cared so damn much about drawing the best match possible out of Goldberg.
