10 Things We Learned From Hulk Hogan's WCW Contract

8. The TV Payoffs

For appearing on WCW Monday Nitro, Hogan was paid $25,000, or 25% €œof the gross (after tax) arena ticket revenues,€ again this was down to whatever number was greater. That means on some occasions, Hogan was making absolutely huge money on Nitro episodes. Think about the time he dropped the World Title to Bill Goldberg at the Georgia Dome, that alone would have made him $226,582.50. Or how about WCW's all time record gate, the $930,735 the company drew at the Nitro episode in which Hogan and Nash did the fingerpoke of doom. Hogan would have bagged $232,683.75 for that. Given how the fingerpoke of doom had a role in killing WCW, it feels so wrong that he made nearly a quarter of a million dollars on it.
