7. He Would Have Hired Roman Reigns For ECW In A Heartbeat
Even though booing rang out when he said so, Paul Heyman stated his admiration for Roman Reigns. Going further, he even used Reigns as the answer to a particularly interesting question about ECW. One audience member decided to ask which current WWE talent Heyman would have considered hiring if they wrestled back when the hardcore promotion was at its peak.
Again reiterating that he doesn't enjoy living in the past too much, Heyman then name checked a few stars on the modern roster. Most notably, he said that all three former members of The Shield would be in there, expressing his belief that Seth Rollins, Dean Ambrose and (yes) Roman Reigns are incredibly talented individuals.
When Reigns was mentioned, many fans started booing, but Paul said his obvious upsides couldn't be ignored. This enabled Heyman to break out one of his old favourite philosophies, saying it was all about hiding weaknesses but accentuating any positives.
A fair few hardcore wrestling fans over a certain age will be throwing up into their ECW baseball caps at the mere idea of Roman Reigns ever getting a look in.
