10 Things We Learned From Jeff Jarrett On Stone Cold’s Broken Skull Sessions Podcast
5. He Wanted TNA To Be A “Strong Alternative”

TNA didn't get a lot of airtime on the latest 'Broken Skull Sessions' special, but Jeff did get to clear the air about why he stepped down from an executive role in the company. Austin was genuinely interested to know what happened there, and what his pal really thought TNA's place in the wrestling world could be.
The truth? Dixie Carter and her family believed TNA/Impact Wrestling could be proper competition to Vince McMahon and WWE. They wanted to topple Vince from top spot by using old favourites from yesteryear and appealing to fan nostalgia. Jeff didn't think that was a solid plan.
