10 Things We Learned From Kane On Talk Is Jericho
1. Politics His Priority
On a slightly sadder note, Kane also told Jericho that he intends to hang up his wrestling boots if his campaign to become mayor of Knox County, Tennessee is successful later this year (and, really, who would cast their vote against the Big Red Machine?).
This isn't exactly much of a shock, to be fair. The guy turned 50 last year, and having been tethered to WWE for more than two decades - he first appeared for the company way back in 1995 - there isn't really a great deal more for him to accomplish.
What it does bring into focus is how and when he will bow out. Too many of Kane's contemporaries in recent years have ended on limp performances, not least of all his kayfabe brother, whose (presumed) final match against Roman Reigns was disappointingly drab.
Since it's unlikely that he will be given a starring role at the upcoming WrestleMania 34, the best we can hope for is probably a farewell moment on Raw, in which he doles out a few Chokeslams to the likes of Triple H and John Cena and then symbolically leaves his mask in the ring.
