At the very end of the conversation, Russo asks Kurt Angle what his dream job would be. Kurt's answer is a simple yet endearing one, one that is surprising yet entirely predictable all the same.

Angle states that his dream job would be to get back into coaching amateur wrestling. Regarding who he wants to coach, Kurt is pretty clear on this; little kids or Olympic athletes. This is a pretty big gab in ability, as kids are pretty much the worst at everything and Olympic athletes the best, but Kurt's rationale is pretty sound.

He states the kids come in with all the enthusiasm, and the Olympic athletes have the drive and focus. Angle feels that high school kids are more exposed to the possibilities of negative feeling. They are there for the scholarships, for their families, not so much for the love of wrestling.

Listening to Kurt on this podcast is listening to a legitimate legend who has got his life back on track and one that still has a lot to offer the wrestling business, be it the professional or amateur kind.

Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
