Mark's on screen relationship with Mae Young will forever be regarded as one of the most outrageous angles of the Attitude era. To Henry, it was a chance to have fun, show some more personality to fans and just enjoy work. To Vince McMahon, it was another opportunity to shock the watching audience and cause a stir.

Both got what they wanted when Mae "gave birth" to an oversized human hand in early-2000.

Privately, Mark wondered what the hand was supposed to symbolise, so he asked Vince what the deal was and where the story was going. To his surprise, the gaffer roared with laughter several times and said he just found it funny that everyone would give Mae a hand post-pregnancy for her efforts.

That was it, that was the extent of the thinking. Good on Mark for going along with it and laughing now despite the revisionist spin passing such controversial storytelling off as wacky fun in the doc.
