10 Things We Learned From Matt Cardona & Brian Myers On Talk Is Jericho
1. Ryder's Biggest WWE Regret
Ryder looks at things another way.
He's more prone to looking inwardly and regretting things he could control. For example, Zack wishes he'd spoken up and sought out Vince McMahon personally for private chats about where his career was heading. He had faith in the system though, and thought that WWE would push him eventually if they couldn't deny his popularity.
Eventually, it started to sink in that McMahon didn't operate that way. He respected those who defended themselves, not those who were willing to put trust in the creative process. Ryder wishes that he'd been more proactive, put across how much merchandise he was shifting and been more ballsy about all the chants he was hearing when he wasn't even booked on shows.
That's just something Zack will have to live with now. He didn't want to rock the boat or throw anything back in Vince's face when the boss had given him so many opportunities - Ryder wanted to enjoy pro wrestling and prove he could work hard.
