3. Why He Can’t Watch WrestleMania XX

Foley can't watch his WrestleMania XX match back to this day.

Whilst he didn't exactly phone it in during that handicap match with The Rock against Evolution members Ric Flair, Randy Orton and Batista, Mick came damn close. Austin was fascinated when Foley told him that he doesn't view 'Mania XX as one of his proudest moments. He never has and he presumably never will.

The show took place inside the hallowed halls of Madison Square Garden. 21 years earlier, Mick had hitchhiked to the venue as a teenager and watched Jimmy Snuka leap from a steel cage onto Don Muraco; the pay-per-view should've been special to him, but it really, really wasn't. Actually, he counts his performance as bang average.

Mick was very much going through the motions rather than having his "WrestleMania moment". He wouldn't get that until facing Edge in a vicious hardcore match (the one with that flaming table bump) at 'Mania 22 two years later.
