10 Things We Learned From Miro/Rusev On Talk Is Jericho

6. Jericho Helped With His First AEW Promo

Miro took some time to re-adjust after leaving WWE - he was so used to their restrictive, heavily-scripted system, and it almost felt new again that AEW promised so much freedom on the mic. That's why he sought out Chris Jericho for some advice before cutting his debut promo.

Jericho cut him off mid-sentence to suggest he tell WWE to "shove their brass rings up their ass". Hilariously, Miro was coy about saying the word "ass". He'd been chewed out for saying it on WWE TV one time, and "felt like a bad boy for months" afterwards. It even became an in-joke with his wife Lana on the road.

He didn't have to worry about that in AEW.

Jericho told his pal to speak freely, and Miro was taken aback when he learned that he didn't have to clear any promo content with higher-ups either. That was so different to what he'd done for years in WWE. There, everything was scrutinised.
