Some fans may know by now that pop prince Justin Bieber was pencilled in for a match at SummerSlam 2014. There, Bieb was going to team with Big Show and John Cena against The Wyatt Family, which is...well, it's the kind of celeb-infused insanity that only pro wrestling can throw up.

So, what happened? Wight dished the deets on 'Talk Is Jericho' by revealing that some unnamed official who held serious sway (it doesn't seem like this was a Vinnie Mac call) loudly questioned how the pop-star could ever relate to the core WWE audience. That, to Show and some others involved, was stupid.

Paul didn't think that Bieber was coming in to please hardcore WWE fans. Instead, he would've been used to put fresh eyes on the product and maybe come back for a second run if things worked out well. It wasn't to be though. That power broker's sway meant the planned match was nixed immediately.

Wight also revealed that Bieber was excited to "work out with John and I".
