10 Things We Learned From Post-Extreme Rules WWE Raw (June 5)

2. Kurt N Corey

Samoa Joe Kurt Angle
WWE

The second of two intriguing mysteries running concurrently on Raw continued, as General Manager Kurt Angle and Corey Graves had a hushed on-camera conversation about more dodgy doings on Angle's phone.

The Olympic Gold Medalist seemed greatly perturbed, and after consulting with his confidant, decided to leave his post for the night. This in itself played into another story, allowing Dean Ambrose opportunity to sneak back in for his aforementioned attack on The Miz. But what it also did was vindicate whomever is on the other end of the abuse Kurt is currently experiencing.

It had been Kurt's busiest week up to that point. He'd dealt with matters pertaining to the Women's Division, Ambrose's volatility and even shared a moment on screen with long-time TNA rival Samoa Joe in a genuinely cool scene for longstanding fans of the troubled Orlando outfit.

Exhibiting patience, WWE left plenty in there to ponder on, without particularly solidifying a motive for why anybody would want to get to Kurt or what they might be doing or saying in particular to really get under his skin.

The payoff to the story may be some time away, but Kurt's instability pleasingly adds another level of unpredictability to a show that has for some time desperately lacked suspense.
