Older fans may remember Rey's son Dominic from a controversial paternity storyline in WWE also involving Eddie Guerrero from 2005. Now a grown man seeking his own path in the world, Dominic previously played American football but didn't get the grades to pursue it further.

Sitting down with his kid, the well-meaning Mysterio wanted to figure out his son's thoughts and see what he wished to do with the rest of his life. Admitting to Jim Ross that he already has his own ideas, the WWE legend said he was secretly over the moon when Dominic said he fancied training to become a professional wrestler.

Rey himself is one of the men training his boy, and the doting father is delighted with the quick progress Dominic has made since taking his first bumps in early 2017.

Most fathers would try to talk their children out of chasing a career in pro wrestling. Rey views things differently, because he'd love to see his son continue the family tradition.
